Farm Bureau Health Plans offers eight Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans whose levels of benefits are set by the federal government. The government and Farm Bureau Health Plans refer to these as plans A, B, C, D, F, G, M and N.

In brief ---
All eight plans include these basic benefits:
- Hospitalization – Medicare Part A coinsurance plus coverage for 365 additional days after Medicare benefits end
- Medical Expenses – Medicare Part B coinsurance (20 percent of Medicare approved expenses)
- Blood – First three pints of blood each year
- Hospice – Part A coinsurance
Plan A provides basic benefits coverage only. It includes no coverage for any other services. It is designed for those who feel financially able to handle both Part A and Part B deductibles plus virtually all other hospital and medical expenses above what Medicare pays.
Plans B, C, D, F, G and N add 100 percent coverage for the Part A hospital deductible. Plan M offers 50 percent coverage for the Part A hospital deductible.
Plans C, D, F, G, M and N include coverage for skilled nursing coinsurance (up to the daily coinsurance amount for days 21 through 100 of care).
Plans C, D, F, G, M and N also provide a $50,000 lifetime maximum benefit for medically necessary emergency care when traveling outside of the United States.
Plans C and F include benefits for the Part B deductible for medical expenses.
Plans F and G include coverage for 100% of Part B excess charges (the difference between the Medicare-approved amount and the provider's actual charges if the provider doesn’t accept Medicare assignments).
